    62岁的王圣德是扬州宝应人，早年从南京师范学院毕业后，分配到老家宝应。上世纪七十年代中期，老王在当地一所农村中学教数学、物理和化学。由于当时教师工资不高，而家庭负担又比较重，老王便利用休息日和寒暑假上街摆摊擦鞋补贴家用。几年前，老王退休了，又背上鞋箱继续干起了“老本行”。
